A good injection molded product starts with a good mold.
Before mold manufacturing begins, our team reviews the product drawing and discusses key details that may affect molding quality and long-term production. Potential issues such as shrinkage, deformation, fit, parting lines, and assembly requirements are easier and less expensive to address before the mold enters full production.
Shun-Tung provides an integrated process covering:
Product Design Review → Engineering Evaluation → Mold Design → Mold Making → Trial Molding → Mold Adjustment → Plastic Injection Molding → Mass Production
For a typical new mold project, the process from confirmed drawings and mold manufacturing to trial molding generally takes around 25 to 35 working days, although the actual lead time depends on product size, structure, material, tolerance, and mold complexity.
Trial molding is also an important part of the process. If a snap-fit is too tight, dimensions require fine adjustment, or assembly does not perform as expected, the mold can be reviewed and adjusted before mass production.
By keeping engineering, mold development, injection molding, and production closely connected, we can respond to changes faster and reduce communication gaps between different suppliers.
